Talk, Read, and Sing Together Every Day

Last week, we proudly released “Talk, Read, Sing Together Every Day,” a suite of resources that can help enrich children’s early language experiences by providing tips for talking, reading, and singing with young children every day beginning from birth.

We know that words and conversations matter, especially during the early years. Whether it’s talking, reading, or singing, the more language-rich experiences a child has, the better. Every conversation, story, or song that children share with those who love and care for them can boost their brain development and help prepare them for school.

We’re partnering with parents, caregivers, and early educators nationwide to help make the most of everyday moments to create these language-rich interactions. That’s why Too Small to Fail teamed up with the U.S. Departments of Health and Education at the White House to develop these resources and make them accessible to families across the country. Read more about our exciting launch, and download the free resources in English and Spanish here.

Tip of the Week

Try a tip from our brand new tip sheets: Everyday activities are great opportunities to support young children’s early language development. Play a game of “I-Spy” in the grocery store together. “I spy a red apple. What do you spy?” Take turns and try to keep the conversation going for as long as possible.
